He needs to win this so he goes out on a bit of a high. Falling off at valencia on the warm up lap wouldn,t be a good way to finish his moto gp career. Sorry to see his riding talent leaving moto gp. Won,t miss his personality though!!!!! Sorry he doesn,t have one.lol.

@ Herewego -
Convenient to ask what after 2007, but everyone who makes this point to never makes mention of the points tally in 2008 where I think Casey finished with about 375, the highest number of points EVER not to have won the WC, so even when he wasn't champ, and the japanese bikes were on song he still managed to achieve what no other was able on those bikes before or since. He is a champion even if not the WC.
Credit where it is due!

@NVC
this is one of the best post Ive read in a while and you are correct in 2008 he won more points than any other in history and not win the WC and yes shows how good he really is.

Another fact is until he got into motogp he never raced here as a kid, he lived 1,000 of miles away from here so its not his backyard, Rossi has raced he more times than him, he just wants to win it for his nation and thats another fact people cannot dispute
