onelap,

JLo isn't worried about Stoner, he already accepted the fact that Casey is teh fastest he's ever seen, including his previous team mates. As far as records go at PI, Vale won how many times there against Jorge? Max, Sete have how many career GP titles in how many seasons?

Anyone Rossi beat during his dominance would be eaten alive by the current "aliens". None of the leftover GP riders have gotten close to them since they arrived, even the ones that had beaten Vale.

bultoboy,

No disputing Rossi beat the current riders, he was in the prime of his career, you can't say the same for them. Prior to them joining the fray Rossi had no competition close to their ability, let alone at the same time and as they matured the results show they are the superior riders of the current era. Even Rossi says so himself.

He still has the skill to do well and should be in the podium every round with Stoner retiring, the question is how often he'll be on the elevated pace.

If Dani can beat Stoner at PI Dani will be the 'king' of motogp this season wether he wins the championship or not. Dani has everything to gain but nothing to lose. If Dani puts on a show and fights with Casey he will get the most respect out of all the riders.

Jorge needs to finish safely just behind Dani in the next 2 races and he's the Champ again. That's the goal.
For all you posters that slag Jorge, just recall 2006.

Who is the Champ from 2006? Hayden.
Hayden is the 2006 Champ. No asterisks. Again, the 2006 Champ is Hayden. He had the most points after the last race finished. Simple enough.

There is no asterisk that reads ...
'well, maybe it should have been Rossi who had more points going into Valencia but then threw his bike down the track'

That was a huge error and cost Rossi the title.
There's no reason why Jorge should repeat history.
He needs to learn from history and that is to just manage your points.
