Wow, maybe we'll actually get some decent coverage of MotoGP here in Canada now. Our only options are to buy a motogp season pass, or get Speed channel from the US, which often airs races hours or days later.

Would love to see TSN (sports network) pick it up, which is included in a lot of basic cable tv packages.

a pension plan usually takes less risky business ventures that a private equity firm..., and 39% is a pretty large share. This seems a good thing imo, we may see some changes in Dorna leadership, or at least a change in policy from those who already have ruined MotoGP and risk doing the same with WSBK

shakes head, entertainment is the last thing a pensioner should be riding their investment on. Especially in the wake of serious economic decline. I really dont know what to say about this... except zomg.

also this is a clear sign that the both championships are going more and more away from the continental euro-zone, given the fact that the economic crisis is mainly caused and manipulated by the privately owned euro currency, and it is much deeper in europe than in countries with a soverign debt and currency who have national central banks who can take care and guarantee their debt

so this post will be deleted, but the only thing keeping together the US dollar is the US military/global reach. I assure you there are many countries in this world that are feeling the crunch, including Japan.

Oh, so I see in fact the point in all the planned changes in MotoGP: as the targeted audience is now old, retired persons, the speed should be greatly reduced so the audience can easily follow the race.

And Casey is probably getting ahead of everyone by retiring and buying stock in the future Dorna. He probably secretly targets to relocate to Canada and become CEO of the future Dorna :"bringing slow action to people of all ages"

:)))

@RocketR1

A new track is in the works for the Calgary area. Not the Bandlands project, but something entirely different. It's supposed to be quite amazing and over 4kms long. The long term plan is to even have an airport associated witht he facility. Fingers crossed! (It would be my home track :) )
