“It was very important for me to win a race before I retire and to do it at my home grand prix was just fairytale" - Casey Stoner.

Well my wish doesnt come true.

I wish Stoner would have the wisdom to put his team interest first.

As he has no chance for championship, while Dani does, as a great person he would have support Dani and tell him, "Go ride your best, and relax, I will keep Lorenzo behind so you will have 9 points advantage from this one race"

instead he just ride around to show Dani that he is better, he made Dani tried too hard and crash.
And so Stoner's win made his whole team sad..

What a person, I guess.
Nothing is important except your own win, heh?
Doesnt matter if everybody else in your team is unhappy.

Blocking another rider (that is what it would have been, because Jorge was faster or at least equal to Dani)... Yeah, that would be a real sporty thing to do eh. I guess Troll, that your biggest wish was for Casey to crash Jorge out of the race. Wouldn't that have been good for the team. Jeez, some people.....

Good try Troll. First of all team orders are against the rules of MotoGP. Second is that the 53000 at the track and the millions of Aussies watching on TV were expecting a victory from their hero. What do you think would happen to the Honda brand name if Stoner was not allowed to win? Third is that Danny had no pressure from Stoner. Stoner was in the ideal place to take the pressure off Danny. He was between Danny and Lorenzo! Stoner was not trying to dive inside Danny at Honda. Danny simply went wide all by himself. Perhaps you should try again. That was a poor piece of trolling.

dany was never going to win the title anyway , even he knew it , even if stoner slotted 2nd and jlo 3rd in last two races it wouldn't of gave him the title.
dans fans can blame casey all they want but its a fruitless frame of mind.
dan found himself in front of stoner which he never expected , knowing stoner was behind him and knowing how Quick stoner can bang out his laps made him lose his concentration , he knew he was not going to zip away and it was only a matter of very short time that stoner was going to have him.
he has had a great run last few races and his confidence was high , i think in that second lap his confidence took a dive and he lost his corner line then leaned too far trying to get back on without losing his place.

@truefan

In 2007, Rossi qualified in 12 and won the race.

Yamaha took the first 6 poles of the season

Rossi also, crashed at Sacsenring, made numerous mistakes in Turkey and had 2DNFs due to mechanical failure.

The whole tyre thing was a smokescreen to cover Rossis and Yamahas failings in 07. Quite simply he had some competition for a change.

Funny how those who say GP is boring now were not saying that when Rossi was inning the championship by 100 points year in year out?

Sad to see Casey go, it will be a long time until we see someone with his talent.

My personal view on the team order issue is, if i was in Danni's position the last thing i would want is my team mate holding my challenger up deliberately, what's the point in that, as it's an admission your not the best, and you race to prove to the fans and yourself that you are the best, a championship win with team orders or deliberate help is a hollow victory, i am glad Danni went all out, and though he crashed he left with his pride intact.

There there now.
Agree completely.I said all along that i didnt want Stoner to deliberately interfere with Pedros title chances by holding Lorenzo up.He had to win or at least try to win the title by his own skill and determination.He knew he had to go out guns blazing yesterday and he did.Unfortunately it didnt work,but he had to try.Hats off to him for that.

@there there now.
team orders would of achieved nothing in this situation , it was impossible to achieve any result that could help pedro be champion.
there is simply no one that can ride at the pace of these three , and for any significant agvantage they would need another rider to slot jlo off the podium , in both last races.
these 3 have the record for sharing the podium because by lap 2 these three are gone from sight.
expect a 2 horse race next year.
