It came to an end but he fought hard. He has always had my respect, and I'm sure that he has earned a new fan base now. Roll on 2013!

Dani tried to pull a Rossi on Stoner as he needed points badly in contrast to calculator Lorenzo. I really believe he doesn't blame himself for this crash, he had to take risk.

When you look at that photo you can clearly see the minute amount of difference between getting around the bend and losing the front end.All it takes is a few degrees too much lean angle and disaster strikes.This is how "on the edge" these guys are.Got to feel sorry for Pedro,but he had no choice but to go for it.

At least he is the top scoring Honda the title just was not his this year.

A pity, but the only real option open to him was to win with Stoner in second. Which meant hanging it out from the start.

Hopefully its not the start of another errors phase. He really really deserves a title.

He's the toughest and the gutsiest guy in the paddock, and comes across as dead genuine. He's consistently overcome set back after setback, has steadily evolved his riding to sort the weaknesses, and has tended to have very poor luck.

Way more deserving of kudos than a certain over the top faded demi-god who seems to be milking fame for what it's worth and giving very little back in return...
