99% of the posts are comparing Casey and Valentino. So whomever posted under "And your point is..." seems to have not read at least 120 of the previous comments. Amazes me that some people think they are being smart when they are just displaying their lack of grey power to the world. Every other statistic is being thrown around, I thought I would add some interesting ones. Perhaps I should have posted in crayon and not used big words?

Stoner fans don't seem to realise that a lot of the people that say they don't like him isn't because of his riding ability, it is because of his personality - or serious lack of it!! Casey has always been his own worst enemy, both on and off the track.Casey has hardly ever praised any other rider, in fact I can't think of a time when he has to be honest. Casey tends to contradict himself over and over and a lot of the things he says just never seem to add up.This is the reason loads of folk don't like him as he shows too much arrogance, selfishness and total disregard for others.Don't get me wrong here, Casey is fast, very fast, but as his lack of world championship wins prove, it takes much more to be a champion year after year after year! Casey will be remembered for his speed, but not as the G.O.A.T. that accolade needs a rider to have achieved much more.

Also, it said it all to me when Casey blamed cold tyres or the braking programme hadn't been set up right for his highside in qualifying!!! Now what's that all about eh if it isn't anything to do with relying on electronics!!!!!!!!!!

Herewego....Stoner has to be about the most honest, straight forward and likeable bloke in the paddock. Please give me a single example of where he has contradicted himself and/or been untruthful. What everybody has issues with, and they had the same with Doohan, is the total lack of crap or beating around the bush. If you have something to say just say it. He is constantly praising Lorenzo and Danny. Please give me an example where he has bad mouthed a rider. (And no, what he said to a helmeted Rossi was not bad mouthing). Just remember we have a rider on the grid who was caught cheating and it isn't Stoner.

Herewego...if they turned on the ABS too high when Stoner likes it at a minimum wouldn't that be a programming issue? If you rely on less and they turn on more is that not a mistake that could cause you to crash?

@ and your point is..

Stoners and Rossi's situations couldn't have been more different in their early years. Rossi had factory rides thrown at him left right and centre, his passport and his Dad made sure of that, so he could afford to hang around in lower classes til he won the tot,e and then move up. Stoner on the other hand had to prove he was worthy of a ride at every turn, his family had no money or influence and it was only the patronage of a couple of people that spotted his talent that gave him rides in GP at all. And when opportunities to progress came up, he had to grasp them straight away rather than waste precious time and money in the lower classes. Let an opportunity go by and that could have been it for Stoner, I e serious injury and the money and momentum dries up, career over, parents bankrupt. Rossi never had to worry about any of that, he could pick and choose his rides and timing, which was what granted him the luxury of losing in 125 and 250 but hanging around for

.. Another year. It makes Stoners achievements all the more impressive when you think about it. He got to where he is on talent, talent and talent alone.

@Herewego ..again... I think you've got the right idea, but it's the wrong way around. I've edited it back to reality...
Rossi fans don't seem to realise that a lot of the people that say they don't like him isn't because of his riding ability, it is because of his personality - or serious overemphasis on it!!
