Why dont we judge riders only with tallent or skill? Eliminte machinery parameter, it is a biased parmter to compare rders, isn it? The best parmter is how fast to adapt a bike, how fast to adapt a new circuit. If Dorna can provide a RACE OF CHAMPION IN MOTOR RACING, IT would be a good observation to the parameters.
The winner would be the most skilled rider.
And stoner will win that because: he is most adapted rider to a bike like he did at duc and 07 WC as he did at honda and ''11 WC already and the most adapted rider to a circuit like he did at aragon 10.

watched F1 for 30 +years, also followed DTM, Le Mans, and WRC .. but never even considered motoGP till a friend convinced me to follow Rossi in his first season in 500, brought life to MotoGP...
Talent surely but of course we can always argue if any ones better now, but more importantly Rossi's personally what that have done for the sport none of the others will ever match.
the day he retires I will go back spent time in my garden again rather that watching Jlo n Pedrosa .. maybe there will come a guy like him again able to attract my attention who knows :-)

Well CS will be remembered for a lot of things but he will also be remembered as :

a) the greatest whiner of them all,
b) public relations nightmare,
c) lost most of his one on one battles,
d) the only world champion with so many average missed races.

Remember folks racing is not only about who is the fastest.

He may not mean it, and it may only be pre 2013 phsyco warfare with his new team mate (not that it's necessary, trust me), but Jorge is spot on. Casey is a class act and without doubt one of the best ever.
If Rossi, Lorenzo, and Casey were lining up at the peak of their careers on equal machinery (lets say on three identical Ducatis LOL) I'd have my 2 pence on the little Aussie, every time. Sure gonna miss watching that little sucker.

p.s. Regarding LC Tanner and his Posts.....
Do I get the wrong impression or is he Always Moaning?

Welcome to MotoGP... it's 80% WC-titles-you-won-with- special-fly-in-tyres-no-one-else-got, other special go-fast parts, special treatment by Dorna... and 20% clown tricks

Silly me. I thought it was 80% rider, 20% bike like Rossi said. It must have changed after VR rode the Ducati. I'll catch up one day...

@JAS he invented moaning.

Unfortunately in the eyes of the fanboy, the special fly-in tyres are a LIE, the go-fast-parts are a lie too, the clown tactics are what they come to see, and Rossi's constant complaining and moaning is justified "feedback"...

They will swear BLIND that Casey gave him a cr@p bike, Ducati put NO effort in (Besides rebuilding the bike for him, more than once...

They will say that Rossi has so many more titles (Though forgetting how much longer he was there, NEVER EVER EVER on a satellite bike, ALWAYS a top bike. Then one bike makes his life a bit harder and it's a P.O.S (Which they said Casey was just moaning about...)

Basically, it is NEVER their GOAT's fault, and NO OTHER RIDER deserves recognition...
