Did you watch the film tuesday night / Called one last lap about stoner. they talked to gabbriani about ls 08, and protesting about it. When stoner came in after the race, gabbraini said they should protest, and casey to9ld him to shut up, exact words as gabbriani said it and that he was to blame for falling off,gabbraini said he was shocked, nobody has ever told him to shut up before,and that was the end of that,i thought in that race that stoner was brake checked by rossi, hence why he ended in the gravel. seems i was wrong,casey was only peedoff because of a couple of dicey moves by rossi,nothing more nothing less.And blamed himself,nobody else. cheers

And then what Casey is really annoyed about happened. The press twisted and used his words out of context to make it look like he was upset at losing. The Stoner haters do not bother going back and listening to what what really said and in what context. They just keep repeating the same rubbish about how this was a major setback for Stoner etc etc. They totally ignore the fact that Stoner continued to win more races, get more poles, get more podiums and more fastest laps than the bloke who was supposed to have destroyed him mentally. It was a fantastic race by Rossi and achieved what he set out to do which was to upset Stoner's championship momentum. But it is not something that Stoner dwelled upon or even mentioned if not asked about it.

Just caught up with things on here, some of which go towards addressing my recent posts.
Wylie (& others) it makes a change to read objective praise for one rider without directing 'hate' to another.
My own view is that Rossi messed up on entry and after that all he had in mind was to not crash. Casey to his credit left room for Rossi to rejoin although that was probably instinctive as well.
It could be said that Rossi rode too hard, and it could also be said that Casey did wrong in refusing the proffered handshake. Depends who you support.....or who you 'hate'.

Anyone else remember Casey's title celebration t-shirt in 2007, yeah that's right it had the names of his GP heros on it including a certain Mr Rossi. It's what has gone on since then that has reduced his respect for Rossi. It seems his fans think he's a great bloke but i doubt many of his rivals think that though. It's all about PUBLIC relations. As for this rediculous word "haters" well lets remember who started all the public hating in the Rossi v Biaggi saga, yep Rossi was having a pop at Max when they weren't even racing in the same class

@Rossi Fan Boy
You are correct that one is retiring and one isn't , but on that we have to add
One is retiring on the top of his game judge on the last 3 seasons and one will NOT based on his last 3 seasons.

One has nothing to prove to anyone whilst the other one has to prove he MAY still have it.
One was offered $15 million to stay one more season while the other was given a life line to TRY again.

Both have excelled and given all they have to both the sport and the public.
One is loved for who he is and one is loved for what he can do.

We are lucky we had both on the same track at the same time and at one time both competitive with each other, though that was short lived after 2010

@true fan.

Who won consecutive races on two different manufacturers and Who had to change manufacturer to win again(then bin it the following year,off course).

Hint for question two: the same Guy who seemed to "Master" the Ducati in 2007 and choke all the way through the Ducati career.

((True: there were no Yellow flags in AussieGP this year))

Its funny how people tend to focus only on the two years that Rossi hasnt performed.

If this is the respect he gets, this Pu$$y is retiring this year(or not, he's the one who said, not to read what is written, and then doing the exact same thing)
Stoner would be outta everyone's head pretty soon.....
