What part of the sport does he not like?
The bikes?
The format?
The interveiws?
CRT?
direction?
I think it is cos he had been away from home since he was 14 like he has said before Not cos he is not happy with sport he is just over it.

it was mostly philip morris big wigs that were angry at stoner in 09 , with a couple of azz licking ducati wigs crying there tune.
they made stoner apologise to them , stoner being so young did so but also being wise and full of self respect he never forgave them , especially for trying to poach jlo while he was out.
livio was the one that kept in touch with him.
i have a hunch they both planned the honda defection together , but that is only my own speculation.
also believe shuei was in on the plan as well.
shuei and livio spent 2010 licking there lips and rubbing there hands , ducati spent it still swigging the left over vin from 2007.

@Pauly73

"What part of the sport does he not like?"

-CRT and the direction!

-Ezzy turning it into a beige WC by stifiling innovation by the manufactures.

-Changing the rules to frequently.

actually, in a recent documentary interview alberto puig surprisingly said he "recommended" stoner to honda. dunno how true that is or when puig did it

@anon .
its Quite possible that he did , though not for 2011.
when stoner first moved to the UK him and family lived in puig's front yard in a trailer , he also had stoner under his wing in the European and UK championship .
there is no way puig had a hand in the 2011 defection because honda already had 2 riders signed for 2011.
shuie had to go through a lot of begging and dealing with honda big wigs to get stoner added to the team.
i feel stoner was shuie's personal prize , and the depths he went through to try hold onto him are testament to this.
when stoner crossed the line at the island after destroying the feild all weekend the camera's fell on shuie.
the first thing i seen in his eyes was defeat and great sadness.

Maybe hes holding alot in, be nice if he released an autobiography and let it all out for the fans to read, a true reason why hes leaving not the reason hes given the press to keep sponsors happy etc... Its got to be something to do with the rule changes to suit spanish riders surely

@D4.
pretty sure a book will come out.
he has already spoken of the basic problems that disappoint him , though there is no dought he is privy to everything that goes on behind the scenes.
there is a reason that he dislikes vale , and it has absolutely nothing to do with laguna 08.
he has a similar disliking of carmelo , so if a book does come out i have a hunch its going to be damning to some people.

Watching the Honda video on here last week, it showed Stoner looking at old photos, one of which was him on a 125. He had said that he was not allowed to race in a particular series, I would imagine that even at 14 he had come across the politics and underhand dealings that go hand in hand in business which is threatened by someone who had one in excess of a thousand trophies already. I would think that he came across even more of that in GP racing.
