I never worked out why so many people hate Puig, he has done a lot for young up and coming riders. Stoner and (obviously) Pedrosa both had a great deal of help from him.

OK he is a machiavellian SOaB admitted..

@Dave. I would love to know the real reason as to why he can't stand Rossi. This is out of just wanting to know how deep rooted it is and or if it really is personal.... I am not trolling just would like to know all the facts.

A man with Rossi's power will no doubt use it. I'm sure there have been a lot things he has done that belie his public image. The walls. The rumor that he blocked Stoner from joining Yamaha. Did that really happen? All the things Rossi said about Stoner not pushing hard enough and that anyone could win on the Ducati. Rossi's public admonition that he and Ducati stay together, all the while he's planning his exit. I'm sure there are a lot of insiders that do not like Rossi at all. A lot of these guys, successful racers, like other famous athletes and stars, are not cool people and have the PR and image consultants to prove it.

Casey has the dubious honour of winning a few races and two championships in the worst configurations of moto gp bikes since the gp series began!
The day the 800s were announced the whole series went down the tubes and havent ever recovered, ironic therefore that stoner is retiring from moto gp because of the polotics and rules that have favoured him.
Please stoner fanboys, watch some pre 800 races and realise why me and a lot of real gp fans wont miss casey and wouldnt miss the current crap bikes either

If you won't miss one of the top riders to ever throw a leg over a GP bike you are not a "real GP fan". You're a fanboy who is happy he is leaving because he is a threat to your "hero".

I'm gonne take a guess that you love WWE "wrestling".

@pam , superbly put !! Did Rossi sign for Ducati before Casey or vice versa ?? As well as Casey being remembered as a fantastically fast rider his famous quote " your ambition outweighs your talent " will always be remembered ( Aussies know how to take the piss ,I should know as i am a pomme ) !!!

Why would anyone reasonably expect a good race this time round? Aside from Brno, three hasn't been anything close all year. Another yawn fest is likely to be the story. We had great finales in the world and British Superbikes, and it'll be a great scrap in the moto3 & moto2 classes, but in motogp? Nah.

I'd only look forward to his return if he stopped the constant complaining. He should use some of that Aussie straight talk to cut down Rossi than to do it backhandedly. Come to think of it, maybe he retired in fear of Rossi back on a competitive bike and Marquez on equal machinery. Well within reason for a mentally fragile person.

Getting the facts staight, if casey was to stay in motogp next year, marquez would have been on the second bike! They would have dumped pedrosa! Read articles before putting in comments!
