Well with Casey going it should make the Rossi fans take a big sigh.
How ever Rossi still has to beat the likes of Alvaro, Cal, Dovi, Bradle,
Hayden, Danny, even Marquez, cause all those guys have been racing
and really trying for the last two years.
Good luck VR cause its now time to step up.
Man I wish Casey was staying.

There's got to be more to this retirement decision than just not enjoying the sport anymore, is it possible that the thought of Marquez as a team-mate and a certain well known Italian back on his beloved M1 was too much for Stoner to handle?

not a chance mate , vale at yam and mm on a factory was not a confirmed possibility at the time he announced his retirement.
do you think for a moment he cares about racing them two?
come on mate your not taking notice.

Stoner handed Rossi his **** 23 times when Rossi was on a Yamaha and Casey was still riding the Ducati, a bike which Rossi hasn't won a single race on in two seasons! To think anything different would happen with Stoner on a Honda is pure fantasy.

I'm still shattered we won't get to see the most talented rider of this generation, maybe of any generation, ride in the top class anymore, but I feel priveliged to have witnessed him ride as long as he did.
