"It's not going to be easy, but it would be nice to get another good result in my final race in MotoGP" - Casey Stoner.

In my opinion Casey's true claim to fame is not his achievements but his ability to get the utmost out of any given bike. Great for the viewing pleasure, not so great for Titles. He will be remembered in the same way as 'Fast Freddie' or 'Revin Kevin'...a mercurial talent that burst on to the scene, thrilling to watch, and then left too soon to achieve his full potential.

What are you going on about Codger... 'never achieved his full potential'?
Stoner won more than anyone in the time he competed, was the odds on bet before each season and most race weekends, ALWAYS gave his best and achieved seemingly incredible things that NO ONE even came close to matching, all while competing against some very solid competition, unlike some other champions!
If X titles is what defines achievement for you, then I'm sure you'll be happy with each and every rule change DORNA implements in an attempt keep fans like yourself happy.
Ignore the racing and enjoy the circus.

"Stoner did have a huge machine advantage in 07. That's why his team mate Loris finished the season in a comfortable 2nd. Didn't he?. Oops! I'm not quite as good at sweeping and deflecting as my fellow yellow extremists."

This years honda & yam arent superior to the rest either going by your logic...Jlos team mate is nowhere and pedros team mate is 3rd. Oops!..more facts, im not quite as good as crapping on like the moaner brigade.

boner, it depends how good your memory is and what you watch the sport for. There are many riders who have displayed immense talent and entertainment but never got x no of titles. Some have pushed the champions to the limit but never quite got there and they will be remembered in the minds of those who love this sport.

The scoring system works out a champion at years end based on points amassed. The champion isnt determined by most races won for the year. Its been that way for a while...

But hey, im sure thats simply another conspiracy hatched decades ago by the high priests who foretold of stoners race wins from 2007-2012 and had to prevent him from having more than 2 titles:)
