I think it is funny that some are saying Rossi being back on the M1 scared Stoner in to retiring. This just proves that they don't even watch or keep up with MotoGP racing. Stoner announced his retirement months before the Rossi to Yamaha rumors even begun.

The more I think about it, the more I will miss him in GP. Question though, and I'm being serious, how is he going to like V8 Supercars anymore? He always got upset when other riders were overly aggressive with him on the track... every Supercar race I've ever seen, these guys take no prisoners! I hope he is ready to get punted more than a few times and not get bent about it, it's not what I call Gentle mans racing.

Casey is an excellent rider. More than that he is a great rider. A true champion. However, in my mind he is overrated by many. TO judge him as the most talented of the lot (some say the most talented ever) is something I cannot see. He did extremely well on the Ducati. That is true. No one could rival him. Not even Rossi and I would suspect that not even the Rossi in his top form, some 7 years ago, might do as well.

@another round, the difference between cars and bikes is your answer.

Being in a dangerous situation on a bike is VERY different to being in a danagerous situation in a car.

Yes car racing can be danagerous too of course, but nowhere near to the extent that bike racing is.

If Casey does go to V8's, im sure he will give as good as he gets.

And im sorry but you have to laugh at the yellow clowns implying that Stoner was scared of facing Rossi on a Yamaha!

Newsflash, he has already faced Rossi on a Yamaha when he was on a Ducati and won more races than him whilst on inferior equipment, so would anyone with even a slight bit of intelligence think that Casey wouldnt do the same (or better) to Rossi with equal equipment?!?!

Geeeeez!!!
