@the truth hurts,I see the clue is in the name matey!
I wasnt talking about vale although obviously I rate him higher than stoner,it's for a reason it's because he's clearly better!
The stats dont lie!
This thread is about stoner leavin Moto gp
For me Moto gp get worse every season,it's because it isn't racing any more it's a cross between an exercise in economics and an engineering project!
Stoner just don't make it any better and as I said earlier he isn't a demigod he's quite clearly an under achiever, given how well he could have done, why didn't he?

I seriously don't understand Rossi fans.

Stoner is the fastest rider of his generation, period.

He managed to get a title on the Duke, Rossi has picked up a few scraps when it comes to podiums.

Stoner dominated last year, and in Phillip Island again showed why he is the best - he was on another level there.

In the future, if people ask me who was the best, I'll say Stoner. May have moaned, but at least he wasn't a complete bullsh1tter.

Shame Caseys talent with his mouth did'nt match his talent on a bike. He may have had a lot more fans. He has already stuck his foot in it with the V8's fans.

Stoner will yet again totally own and dominate Rossi this weekend. May even came around to lap him again like at Laguna Seca this year when Rossi threw the bike into the sand on purpose so he didn't get lapped.

Yep, look at Doohan who is still limping to this day. Look at Doohan who spent less time in Grand Prix motorcycle racing than Casey! Doohan has come out and totally agreed with Stoner's choice. Oh, and where has he put his foot in it with V8 Supercar fans? He has done nothing but praise the series and said he doesn't know if he will competitive. Just to give you an idea. His first outing in the 888 car of Lowdnes he ended the day with a faster lap time than the three time championship driver. Never driven the car before on a track he has never rode/drove and sets a time that would have put him at the front of the V8 Grid.

The men who left Ducati .....
Melandri left and ended up in supers
Caparossi left (factory team) and went to the back of the pack
Gibernau left
Hayden refuses to leave for fear of the above
Rossi left and ended up .... (don't have cristall ball so will leave blank ... next few years will be interesting!)

Stoner left with a world title under the belt, moved to Honda and picked up another one and now retires at the top of his game .... time will tell if Stoner is the only rider to survive the Ducati??

Really want to see Stoner win his last race , especially as Pedro and Lorenzo have nothing to lose and all have a good reason to want to win. Maybe the winner will be the one everybody thinks should have been Champion all things equal , and no tyre rule changes and injuries . I will really miss Casey and the show will go on but future Champions over the next couple of years will wonder , could they have won if Stoner was there
