Here we go again with all the stoner won a title on the ducati b.s. , what you and every other blinkered stoner fan fail to mention is that he won it on a bike that was way faster than the others, had a steel trellis frame (what ducati are actually good at) and was on tyres made specifically for him on that bike.
I'm not knocking him, he made the best use of the tools available to him, but let's be honest here, he's good............. not god!

If you had been watching motogp for any length of time or even bothered to check, you would know that even the mighty stoner's results got worse each year after ducati moved away from the trellis frame and special tyres were no longer available.
Nobody is disputing that he has been the most successful ducati rider in this class but don't deny what was clearly obvious for all to see.

Realfan it didn't get worse, Rossi got the what everyone said was superior Bridgestones followed by Pedrosa who both had superior machinery, then everyone got them the following year. Ducati's main advantage however were the ability to conseve fuel which led everyone to accuse their bike of being illegal.
In its worse year as you say the Ducati still won four and the last time it did.

Poor old Biaggi trying to steal some limelight by retiring at 9 this morning but having little effect.

Stoner has no reason to keep racing bikes, what is there left to achieve?? He will have enough money in the bank now and racing v8's in aussie is a good way to keep him close to home. He will do well racing v8's theres no doubt about it!

What's your point caller?
I never said the bike got worse (other than dropping trellis frame) ,I said stoner's results got worse which is a fact. My point was that when he won the title on a ducati he had a clear advantage in that his bike was faster and whilst it maybe wasn't the best handling bike on the grid it wasn't nearly as far behind as it is now and the tyres being made to suit the rider/bike negated much of the difference.

GO CASEY....... Hope you have a cracker of a last race and you show us all just one more time why you are one of the best riders in the modern era, any rider that can win multiple world championships and on different brands is great in my books , very sad that you won't be riding in 2013 but I hope you have every success in your future endeavors

thanks for the memories..........cheers

I think you'll find that Aussi nsw has been like myself has been following GP racing for a very long time can't speak for him but I know he's been following since at least the mid 60s, however you go under the name realfan were you in a comma when Rossi insisted changing the trellis frame to a Yahacati frame.
