And Stoner lovers don't forget that Stoner in 2010 finished 4th with Ducati and next year he won the championship with Honda. In 2010 Rossi, facing an injury, finished 3rd with Yamaha and next year 7th with Ducati. You can't say Stoner is better than Rossi because he won the championship with both Ducati and Honda. Just look at Stoner's victories with Ducati: 2007...10, 2008...6, 2009...4(but faced an illness that year), 2010...3. I agree that Stoner is very talented and very fast but not as GREAT as Rossi, someone with 9 world championship titles.

Anmar,

One point to make. Ducati did not have to pay 15M euros for 2 years to get Rossi to leave Yamaha.

First Jorge's new contract said he would gain access to Vale's data rather than just handing his over.

Rossi then made a move to end data sharing rather than provide his to his team mate.

Rossi then said to Yamaha "its either him or me" and admitted later he didn't want a strong team mate like Jorge in the first place.

Jorge was also given a big raise by Yamaha who asked Rossi to take a pay cut. One far below the amoutn Ducati hired him away for.

Ducati expected better effort and results, so did Rossi and so did all MotoGP fans. Look at Ducati two years ago vs. today 50M or so later and Rossi didn't earn a cent IMO.

Yes you are correct. Rossi 'was' the king, but you cant seriously stand there and say Stoner 'only had 3 or 4 people capable of winning a race' to compeat against.

Dont kid yourself into thinking its ever been any different. Theres only ever been a handful of people capable of winning a race.

Maybe its better to look at the competition as a better measure?

Rossi has Gibbers, Biaggi, Melandri and Hayden. Stoner had Rossi, Lorenzo, Pedrosa.

Who would you say has raced agaisnt the better riders?

King Casey beat the old King. I think that says it all?

Stoner Beat Rossi..ahahah If Rossi Dream of been Wc only had star at 2006 until now Rossi was 2 times wc the same has Casey, It dosent matter if Casey could play better on the Ducati made fastest laps or even win races, what matters is what you has a rider could build on one year of Competician.. I remember again Rossi is 7 times Motogp Champion this guy live for the titles.. And Stoner?? Rossi is old now he understand that is time is coming but he still fight for more.. What Casey do will leave when he still is young!! What caind of Calibers we have here?? Rossi is the Best the greatest ******* Legende for this Sport.. Casey is one impressive rider and 4sure he know how to make it Worck but he dont have the mind to keep fightingh and sometimes comes with so much bullsht that i never wach on Motogp.. The way people talck about him is like he had made miracles and is like he is the best of the world and is Not.. I remember 2012 WC is Jorge Lorenzo and aim glad he was still im time to ha

Well at least it'll be one step closer to this series getting back on track, i.e. get Rossi off of a **** bike. Now to sort out about a dozen other idiotic aspects of MotoGP. Perhaps burying CRT's is next in line?
