Im a huge fan of this sport and i will say it again. Im a rossi fan but im also equally a fan of all the other riders, they are all very talented.

I just feel though its a great shame for the ducati team that took rossi on with great hope. JB sayd they coucl fix the bick in 80 seconds, I bet he wished he never said that.
Is the ducati realy that bad?? I think not. Im a little disapointed in Rossi for not giving 100%, he was paid a lot of cash to do so.
Real shame, he looks awsome on that bike, mabe they should have given him the multistrada!!! lol

re: "iam not sure what rossi got paid for this fiasco but really he and his wizards came in stating they would get this fixed,well they bombed so refund partially the money because its a joke!i heard 18 million ?"

NO...! the laguna seca crash atop the cork in the closing laps could've easly given us another simoncelli/sepang moment. he risks his life for us to be nothing more than "entertained" for an hour on sunday afternoons (heaven forbid we should spend to not be bored at ANY point in our lives). the money's his.

There is a nice post on Gpone where Rossi admits Stoner was something special on the Ducati. Another thing is that if Ducati wants to be succesfull once again, they have to throw the design of the bike around. Why would they still use something that only seems to work when Stoner rode the bike.
Next year i bet nothing will change. hayden and Dovi wont make that bike a winning one and neither will Spies and Crazy Joe.
So to say Rossi f****d up, well it just didnt work and so he admits.
But it would be nice if the old man can fight with Jlo Pedrobot and MM next year, and hopefully there will be more guys fighting for wins.

If Vale's career is truly over, he can walk away with the fact that he was the best ever. Stoner, meanwhile, was nothing more than an also-ran, a chump with no heart who filled in as #1 when Valentino didn't win the Championship. Stoner was fast, no doubt, but wasn't much of a racer. Look at every time that he and Vale were matched evenly (Laguna being the best example) and remember that Vale soundly beat him. No comparison.

Stoner's claim to fame is two championships, not even back to back. According to Mick Doohan, motorcycle racing history is littered with one time champs who came and went. A single championship proves nothing, two scattered over a decade proves even less. You must win two back to back to prove that you have truly beaten the other riders and the other machines. Anything less is just happenstance.

@boogerracer

you poor kid
rossi is mid pack, only with his skills he came maybe to 3 WCH, not more. he needed more bisides the track. you know it, we all know it. no doubt, he will be next year in front of maybe 6 prototype, super achievment...

Casey on DUC 23 wins, you know, it was more important for the show watcching him on the beast than Rossis "batles". This year Bridgestone killed Caseys hopes for second in row. You know it, we all know it. Rossi on Duc chicked 2 years, thats show his rider and developer skills a little more, than Rossis fans wanted.

I would say that it is absolutely ok not to push to the limit if you feel lack of confidence. U can either race with your sense, brain, intelligence and, therefore, you need the "feel" or U race with your balls always ready to sacrifice your health as Casey Stoner. There are no other two riders which would be so much different. Once Vale gets his confidence back, he will be on a winning way yet again.

The best bike will win the championship with the best rider in the team that year this year it was Jorge next year who knows it could be Rossis 10th if the Yamaha is the best bike on the grid.

Jorge has beat Casey 3 times in the 5 years they have raced against each other in the top class so who is the new King of the paddock?
