@Creepy T:

Agree with most your post, except Casey is not quitting, he has simply not renewed his contract, as for he did not like the sport PREPOSTEROUS, he simply hates the bull surrounding it.

It wont be strange at all. Rossi will dawdle around just ahead of the CRTs. Stoner will probably lap him. No other rider in history has been owned and exposed like Rossi.

Why would he need to push?in order to risk to crash?He does not need to prove anything from what is already clear.The ducati is not that competitive especialy that he does not fit on it.
He has the next 2 years... and those are the years he has to prove that he is still able to race with the top.I am sure he wont be world champ but he will be in top 3 next year.
So i am sure he wont push hard for Valencia.. he pushed hard at Misano.3rd place on dry.A fantastic result for him on dry conditions.

Its unfortunate that every post regarding Rossi turns into a Stoner vs Rossi 1 up match. The year is over. Lorenzo is the well deserved Champion. Pedrosa was close and fought hard. Stoner albeit a worthy ex champion is to retire. Rossi will be on a new bike set to do battle that suits his style obviously better than the duc did. Can we once and for all please put to bed the Stoner vs Rossi comparisons? Rossi won multiple championships on the honda as well as when he was with yamaha. He attempted to take the Duc to the winners circle but wasnt able to and if my memory serves me correctly no rider in the modern era has been able to win on more than 2 marques of bike in the Top Class (Hailwood, Lawson, Rossi, Stoner) and of those riders only Rossi and Lawson have had even a hint of a podium on the 3rd marque Lawson, Cagiva) (Rossi, Ducati 3 podiums)

@there there now

LC's going to be another couple of days away. After smashing every single television in his house after each race of Stoner dominance his mum has made him get a second job to start paying them off.

"rossi got on the exact bike stoner won on and was 2 seconds slower and has been about 2 seconds slower ever since"

Stay with me here, read these facts and then make your own mind up. Fastest race lap of Stoner versus Rossi from first several dry tracks 2010-2011 on the SAME BIKE. Qatar - Stoner 0.5 quicker. Estoril - Rossi 0.7 quicker. Catalyuna - Stoner 0.5 quicker. The difference was not that HUGE. Then they started messing with the bike at Assen and things got worse...
