@ Yousef,

"King Casey beat the old King..."

Funny because I also remember the only rider to win back to back championships in the last 12 years and specifically in 2008 and 2009 against said King Casey or Lorenzo for that matter.
I like Casey...sorry to see him go... but please do not pick the statistics that suit you best! Rossi won Multiple titles against these same racers and he is the only one!!! to date, to do that back to back against the very same racers you now adore!! JL, CS, DP...

End of....

Go Rossi!! Please give us some good racing next year. Personally i can't wait to see some battles , the ones that give you a half heart attack and make you stand up from the couch. We had some this year, but not enough.

Here we go with the comparisons again but I feel the need to point out that, broken leg and all in 2010, Rossi still placed higher than Stoner in the championship... but the point here is the declining state of the Ducati and Stoner rightfully jump ship and dominated on the Honda!

It's just funny to me that all of a sudden people forget that Rossi has handed most of these guys their butts already and because of a failed attempt at Ducati, all of a sudden he is no good!! Really??!!

My money was on Rossi for 3 in a row in 2010 had he not broken his foot but that is history.

So again please do not select just the statistics that suit you because i can do that too!!!

It will be a happy weekend for the Ducatisti, as Rossi and his RCV clone will leave and real Ducatis will race again!!!
His attempts to make ducati building Hondas have shown its lack of success... Trellis and monocoque Ducatis made a lot better...

Some question whether Rossi pushed at 100% this year. If he pushed harder he would've crashed more thus scoring less points. He did the best anyone not named Stoner could do on that thing. Phillip Island proved RDP's CRT bike had more corner speed than the Ducati, considering the lap times and top speed differences. It blows me away how bad that machine is. I'm no Casey fan (I'm a Yank:p), but what he did on the Ducati defied the laws of physics

"I try not to bring up Stoner in Rossi threads and vice versa, but these 2 seasons of failure for Rossi, different bike or not, being more or less on level terms with Hayden, proves that he is not even close to the level of Stoner. Great rider yes, but clearly not the greatest that people thought he was."

Good effort at not bringing stoner up in a rossi thread but since you have...

but this year of failure for stoner, different bike or not, finishing behind pedro on equal machinery and Jlo on lessor machinery, proves that he is not even close to the level of greatness rossi has ALREADY ACHIEVED. Great rider yes, but clearly not the greatest that people thought he was.

Imo motogp next year will be vapid without Stoner, yet i have to get used to it..
*if only some honda or ducati guy sneaked into his home in his hometown, offered him a sat honda or sat ducat, either one with full factory support... and quite a handsome amount of money he couldn't resist.. Man, how sweet would that be.. :)

"If Rossi is fast on the yam it will prove that the package is more important than the rider."

...which will finally vindicate the 2 stoner titles to date being attributed to bike & tire in 07 and bike and injured opponents in 11.

The other interesting part of the article is that rossi, despite being a "talent less fraud" and not "pushing" to earn his "obscene" pay check, could still finish 5th overall. Only Jlo, Pedro, Stoner & Dovi ahead of him (on better machinery) and pushing 100 percent all the time! WOW, now thats greatness.
