Playing catch up in MGP is not the way to go. Unfortunately not only did Duc go aluminum chassis but now they had to sort it with 1000cc engine. Even Yam and Honda had issues with the switch but they had a more stable platform to work with while it was revamp at ducati. I will say that ducati caught every one with their pants down in 2007 (although we tend to give Casey all the credit) That 07 Duc was a beast. However the transition since has been troublesome with even a talent like Stoner declining in performance year on year (Yes I know, he still won on it but less and less). Most of us were just hoping for more from Ducati, Rossi and Nicky but what they really needed was unlimited testing as they used to do before to develop that machine. 8 times before a race is not testing although everyone is at the same disadvantage a redesign such as Ducati needs more track time with the racers, not a tester lapping 2-4 seconds slower.

It is not his fault, the RCVcolne he is struggling this year is a piece of ... Thanks Rossi and Burguess for your effort!!!
Next year, I hope Ducati makes a Ducati (Trellis frame) and that will return Ducati to the podium...

Um, quite a coincidence that it's the same period Rossi joined ... thanks Rossi for stuffing up the Ducati. With Sonter there Hayden was in a much better position.

what?.not long ago we read on here that says Rossi's jump ship to Ducati will benefit so much in development so that it will suit not only him but all Ducati riders.
now Ducatis are rider-friendly bikes or ridable.
more ridable is comfortably SLOW.

@LanceTheHooliganAlbon

everyone knows the Ducati is the problem, its just the haters who dont admit it on here and the usual, "if it was so bad why did stoner win on it"

everyone knows Stoner could ride it, but that's 1 man, how many have attempted to ride it and failed,

Ducati need to take a good hard look at themselves.
and get rid of Preziosi, he's already said "im the boss, its my way, you dont tell me what to do"

I really admire Nicky for smiling, working and not giving up in the fight against the bull**** of bike the RCVclone is... he understood the Ducati when he arrived, as results show...
I hope next year Ducati makes a Ducati again and he enjoys the ride!!!
