It is funny to read Aleix's statement as even he knows that he already has the CRT title under his belt. Randy would have to finish 5th in order to put Espargaro's position in danger and that is rather impossible, I assume.

Seriously, who cares about these CRT's except for Carmelo E?

I can't stand this, having the best CRT on parc ferme and also having a CRT-title. It's a blxxdy joke! For gods sake, there is only one winner, and thats the winner of the race, end of story. I understand why Stoner leaves this cirkus.

If all sub-par categories need to have their on titles to get some precious air time we should have "Satellite-title" and maybe "Ducati-title" as well..

with honda offering to sell customer racers, now according to SOUP (superbikeplanet.com) yamaha are offering to lease engines to 4 teams giving another 4 riders competitive engines. lets hope this moves forward as i like the basic idea of CRTs, as like moto3 and 3 it brings more diverse chassis suppliers into the sport. works engines and electronics would close the gap.

bring it on

Please stop referring to it as the "CRT Title". I hope next year they stop with all this "Top CRT" in parc-ferme silliness.

It's 12th place in the championship. Nothing more. Sorry Espargaro.

Other than being back markers, you know the "class" is a joke because when they introduced it, they said that CRT would not be the official name. End of season, and yeah...they're still called CRTs. If they can't even bother naming it something proper, you know they don't give two craps about it.

Actually, some of the times set by CRT bikes at Phillip Island were pretty good. Some of Randy's lap times over the weekend were faster than any World Superbike race lap at Phillip Island this year, and would have qualified him on the front row despite having no qualifying tyres in GP. People need to remember how long it took the Moto2 bikes to equal, then beat, the lap times of the old 250s. Another season or two and some CRT bikes wil be troubling satellite bikes very regularly, which would be a good situation for a team run on cheap money. That said, I think CRT bikes need more engines allowed, seeing as they won't be using ultra expensive long lifel cam shafts etc
