i remember when Max wanted a Honda because he said thats what he needed to win, he went to honda, Rossi went to yamaha who hadent had a race win for a long time, Rossi beat max in South Africa at the first race on Yam, and went on to win the WC

true, but you forgot to mention that in 2004 he was on Camel Honda (Pons/Camel satellite team), not fully backup factory bike, next... if you read KRJR interview on superbike planet Alex Barros is the man who tell Furusawa 2003 whats bad on the bike. www.superbikeplanet.com/2012/Nov/121108biaggifeat.htm

Nice words from Rossi and Lorenzo regarding memories of Max. At first I wasn't much of Biaggi fan but always respected his ability and enjoyed the fights on and off the track with Rossi made for good drama and brought interest into the sport. While it will be ashame not to see him battling in WSB with Aprilia it was nice to see him win again and to go out Champion. As others noted it's ashame he didn't win at least one 500/Motogp championship but winning 2 championships in WSB I'm sure helps. Enjoy retirement Max you've earned it.
