Filippo Preziosi to change role at Ducati? Suter to build the Desmosedici MotoGP chassis?

@Codger It wasn't the engineers. It was the management. They didn't want to fund it. This is a small company. The factory is small - I've been there. The workers are passionate. The racing department would do anything to support their riders. But they don't have all the resources of a large company.

Stoner told them what was wrong, but they wouldn't spend the money. He got on with it and rode around the problems. He won't be back there. Rossi is finished. They need to look forward. The last two years were a disaster.

If they can't fix the bike in all areas, the only solution is to find the next Hailwood or Stoner. They don't come around too often, and they don't stay for long.

just goes to show that what a massive difference the tirelli frame and bridgestone tyres were making in 2007...this is what happens when u give a diamond to a monkey...

@Boner.Casey Stoner is the last person on the grid who needs to prove himself on the Ducati.His 23 victories and countless podiums and poles speak for themselves.I can think of other riders who need to prove they can ride the Ducati though.

The best change is getting Rossi out of their garage. Sad but true. Now they will have two riders who earn their paycheck, Ducati just need to 'figure' out why their bike was competitive before Bridgestone started making tires for everyone else.

@Slartibartfast

Pretty simple, if Rossi had been there since 2007, they'd be 90 million Euros down the tubes, winless for 6 years, and possible bankrupt. But they'd have charisma by the truckload... maybe they'd have stopped making bikes and gone into goat farming.

But thankfully, they've only had 2 years of Rossi, and the delusional management that wanted to throw good money after bad didn't get their way.

Ducati have a much bigger problem on their hands than the bike. With the greatest respect to Hayden and Dovi even if Ducati rolled out a factory honda/yamaha level bike, they would still need an alien riding it to be at the front, which neither of these guys are.

@slartibartfast & True fan...the same way...if Stoner were to ride Honda or Yamaha they would have been bankrupt by now and Nakamoto would have been begging Rossi to guide them to eternity...and yourself would have been cheering casey in world fishing championship...:) By the way the charisma part...heard that before from another person...guess itz just a change in name...:)
