"just goes to show that what a massive difference the tirelli frame and bridgestone tyres were making in 2007...this is what happens when u give a diamond to a monkey..."

I've said it before - Rossi 80% myth, 20% monkey
Nice to see you agree for a change...

I disagree there Fred.Dovi has put his satellite Yamaha on the podium 5 times this year. And Hayden is a former champion.Give these guys a bike that can match the Japanese machines and they will be up there on a regular basis.I have no doubt about that. And lets not forget, one alien,i hate that term, will be missing next year.

@Boner.Based on what evidence do you say Honda and Yamaha would be bankrupt under Stoner?
He has only ridden a factory Honda for 2 years and has won the championship once!
And he has never ridden a factory Yamaha. So where are you getting this stuff from?

So, by your reasoning Yamahas management are now delusional and the company will go bust. Oh dear. You'd think with your insight and wisdom they'd be hiring you instead. I suspect they know better.

@ Slartibartfast

Dovi had a factory ride with Honda. Didn't do much did he ? I agree with your point about Hayden being a previous champion though. Give Rossi a Japanese bike and look what he done ? More than these two put together.

@bart To say Hayden and Dovi would be 'up there' is to say they are on the same level as Lorenzo Pedrosa Rossi and Marquez. Personally I don't think so. But, like I said, Ducati would have to roll out a competitive bike first.

@Slartibartfast..did he win back to back titles with Honda? Did he even do testing after winning the championship with Honda by the end of 2011 which was developed by dani..No..he even openly said he doesnt like testing. He just got lucky with Ducati and he's using that to make some money, that's all. Now the guy doesnt have the b@#$s to face hez quittin...nice time...

Dovi has already been up there this year on a satellite bike.He has gelled with the Yamaha extremely well and is a better rider now than he was when he was at Honda i believe. You say Hayden is not on a level with Rossi.Perhaps not,but his results on the Ducati compared to Rossi are very comparable dont you think?
Rossi has by no means blitzed him.And lets face it,he was expected to!
Only time will tell of course.
