i'd be curious the reason why this is... is the FTR-Kawa cheaper than the Suter-BMW? More support from either FTR, kawa or both?

Seems that an inline with a standard crank will never 'feel' as good as a V or a CPC... but maybe with marelli can make it more manageable?

Edwards has said a big problem with the BMW is that it doesnt have a cassette gearbox so they are stuck with ratio's they have, making it very difficult to set up from track to track

Edwards has spent much of the year whining about his bike. However he already had 12 races under his belt on the Suter when Petrucci switched to Suter and since then Petrucci has gone from being five places behind Edwards to finishing on equal points and beating him in the standings.

Seems to show that there isn't too much wrong with the Suter at all.

Edwards had better hope for two things next year. Firstly that he beats Corti and secondly that he doesn't get beaten by any Suters. Word is Petrucci will be staying on the Ioda Suter next year, wonder if he'll beat Edwards...

Petrolbonce, they can break the engine seals only with the attendance of the technical director or his staff to change ratio's which they are now limited to I think 3 sets. Something they very rarely touch anyway because of the wide power band these have.
As for Edwards, his problem is 2 things, 1st the Bosch ECU and software, it does not work they have no experience in bikes and keep applying car logic to the algorithms. He constantly has problems with it shutting down. 2nd when they discover a problem or a way forward they are not updating the quick enough and the is similar to where they started.
They are not defineatley using the FTR but are testing again, as Edwards did before along with the ART and the Gresini, and need assurance from FTR and the builder that updates will be available.

Ioda will continue at the moment with Petrucci and Rolfo (ex Suter test rider for Moto2)according to infomoto, how much more it will progress?? but Sacchi has ex Aprillia software guys and they now get 2 bosch technicians per rider.

Its all out there.
