MotoGP » Rossi lapped as Ducati era draws to an end

Valentino Rossi's final outing as a Ducati rider is an unhappy one as he can only finish in tenth place, a lap down on Dani Pedrosa.

The final nail in the coffin. All the Rossi fans said if its wet Rossi can win. In reality he was outclassed by Ellison. Nakasuga deseves the Yamaha ride more than Rossi.

VR did EXACTLY what was required given the conditions and the extremely circus style race today and that was to finish injury free for tuesday. Rossi knew with the characteristics of the Duc that by thrashing the ar5e off the bike would only most certainly land him in trouble!
Oh well, todays race is history and so is the Duc/Rossi partnership.
Tomorrow and moreso Tuesday is a brand new day.

Thought JL was gonna be real hurt after that slam dunk he suffered WOW. Glad everyones ok and good luck to all the riders for the test days and the future.

"I just hope that Tuesday will show everyone what the guy can do."

No, on Tuesday we will see further proof that the Yamaha is a phenominal race bike, if any further proof were needed after today.

The last two years have shown what Rossi himself is actually capable of both as a rider and as the driving force for improvement within a team and a factory,

.............and it has not been impressive, in fact it's been considerably worse than even the most sceptical Rossi critic could have imagined.

Nothing he does in future will ever change that, and certainly not hopping on to one of the only 4 competitive bikes in the class.
