Oh for goodness sake, how much clearer does it have to be.

The whole "Rossi the legend" thing is a sad contrived joke. If you were sitting this morning in anticipation of him going out and running back up at the front on the new 2013 Ducati, painstakingly and skillfully developed over the last two years by himself, then there might be some validation.

But that is not the case, he's used his position and money to manipulate and buy his way back on to a bike so good that it would be at the front with any one of 15 or 20 world class riders onboard.

Ofcourse he'll be back on the pace, the bike podium'd two day ago with a test rider onboard that no one had ever heard of for gods sake, give Parrish a few days on it and he'd probably be within half a second, and he never even was that good anyway.

The second Yamaha should have been rolling out today with any one of a number of other riders onboard Crutchlow, Dovi, Bradl, De Puniet, no scarcity of talent and we should have been looking fo

@ nikisan

Story about Yamaha switching to Aragon is mentioned in the crash article, and you can get weather forecasts for that region from the net. Also from journo David Emmett: "it's forecast to be pi55ing it down in Aragon on Wednesday."

realist is mad his boy i mean girl stoner quit when the going got tough. what s loser quitting like that. a 'JOKE' you say, how about this

biaggi called the yamaha a piece of **** that would never win a title. rossi hopped on board next season and won the very first ******* race and then the title while biaggi was on a superior honda.

rossi beat stoner and lorenzo in their PRIME. TWO times! if 2003 rossi raced against 20007/2011 stoner rossi would FLOOR him.

rossi BROKE pedrosa brno 2006, he broke stoner at laguna 08, lorenzo at catalunya 2009 and he will BREAK marquez while he is in his 30s!

rossi never got on with the ducati because it was too late for him. he was stubborn in his old ways. some of you forget he has been winning world titles since 2001...

"cont'd"

........we should be looking forward to 2013, not back to 2010.

And I'm neither a Stoner lover or Rossi hater, just want the class to try to move forward and that means giving other talent (of which there is plenty) a chance.

Rossi has had his time, some good, some bad, but it was time to move forward and this is not progress. Sure we can see this morning that some Rossi fans are just waiting their chance to crow again, well it might do them some good (for a brief time) but it's going to do nothing for motorcycle racing in general and that should be what matters.

@636 stunter

Dictionary definition of 'legend'

a nonhistorical or unverifiable story handed down by tradition from earlier times and popularly accepted as historical.

Well "Mr H" that's just pathetic, Rossi was on a full factory bike and they were in essentially private teams and if you have no concept just how big a difference that really is then frankly you obviously don't know enough to be taken even vaguely seriously.

what are you TALKING about? you're clueless... ezpleta is currently busy popping a bottle of bubbly after seeing rossi on that yamaha again... i mean sre you even aware how important rossi is to the sport?

races were still fun during the 800cc era because of rossi. rossi/stoner then rossi/lorenzo. it became boring when he went to the duc. let's face facts here.
