Yngve, Hayden did 8 laps, Rossi almost 30.
And, lets see what happen when the fast riders goes out. Dani and Jorge are still watching "The best of Rossi- The Ducati Years"....... it takes more the 80sec to see all even though the trailer of this 2 years can be made 80sec short... - Unregistered

If it was dry you could read something (probably a lot) from the lap times of the guys that changed bikes or of the rookies.

Yeah, it would be early days but you could read. For instance, to pick up the most famous name, if Rossi after the first day in the dry was more than 7 tenths from Lorenzo that would instantly mean that he was not going to keep the pace of his teammate. If Rossi managed to get within 3 tenths, you could expect him to maybe be up there.

Marquez or other rookies may need more time to adapt to the big bikes, so I would say that first day may not give us instant perfect reading for the rookie boys

But it is raining so there is basically no conclusions to take out. Whatever the lap times. - Unregistered

... and I meant the performance of the whole of 2013, not just the pre-season, of course.

All those riders are experienced enough to be able to ride the bike at the most of their ability basically from 10 laps on (and Stoner could by 3rd or 4rd lap).

At the most they take some 5 tenths from first 10 laps to the end of day 3.

" A comparison in full wet conditions dovi did 1'51"... Rossi 1'48"... Under equal conditions "

Hardly equal as Rossi has had 2 years racing and testing on a bike built around his input, and it's Dovi's first time on the bike, time to wake up.
