for comparison, Dovi wast fastest in warmup on sunday with the same condition. Dovi's lap time was 1m44.197.
Lap time for position 1 - 4 made before rain.

Aoyama didn't venture out in the dry, he went out about 5 mins before Rossi. Dovizioso went out on a wet track but not full rain and that time was from his first run, however he has gone faster and Yam have packed up and gone to Aragon.

"Former MotoGP racer Loris Capirossi rode Smith's bike this morning, posting a lap of 1m 35.954s, which has since been dropped from the timesheets."

yeah to make Rossi seemingly the best performing Yamaha rider :)

@ there there now. Agreed. Dovis performance this season will be very interesting. However if hayden significantly improves too, it'll be obvious the bike is much better.I really hope they do well. Its hard to watch a factory team struggle so badly.

I was waching that, Rossi is loocking good the condicions really loock very wet, i didnt wach the warm up for Valencia but for the crash post was wet and Dovi was faster with 1.44.197 , Rossi with Ducati had is best time 44:5 was 3 place and to have 3 place really have to be wet for the Ducati go better.. And now with Yamaha best time until now 1m 43.736s , he is improving=)

That picture looks like a man in love with his new bike - that's well cranked over considering the conditions, and no double sliders either... I am expecting great things of our Mr Rossi from day one.
