Andrea Dovizioso: The Ducati is known for working well in the wet, and I can confirm that, but obviously, we have to try it in the dry.

Vilas,

That is no different than the previous relationship with their chassis builder (FTR I think) this year. Ducati needs to find the limits of the chassis to keep making improvements and stop guessing. Honda and Yamaha have had riders doing that for the last 2 years and that is why they have a better package.

Dovi himself is true for himself, why he's on ducati now :
1. No yamaha factory for him whether Valentino coming or not, if not VR is BS whatever his result in 2012
2. for the first time in his entire career he will get much much money
3. He gets factory bike, for him it's more important than competitive in satelite. It's a pride.
so.. nothing to lose for him. If he does bad, people will not blame him. If he does good, people will praise him...

vilas are you from serbia? just curious. and you're right all the riders seemed to have this problem, even stoner, but he made it work. I feel like now if ever ducati and pramac are the strongest they have been and these guys can find a way to do it also. its also not for sure if ducati will use suters chassis but that is interesting. we will see.

I really hope that Ducati do well next year.

OK, the Rossi thing didnt work out, as they say you cant teach an old dog new tricks but that period is over and good luck to both of them.

But if Ducati can get in the mix that would result in great racing for us and really make it worthwhile watching.

Most thing it wont happen but at the end of 2006 the 4th choice by Ducati made it a winner and his team mate was no where to do seen so maybe, just maybe withih these 4 riders is a guy who will push and ride around the issues to TRY and make a race of it.

As a fan of Dovi, I would like to see him succeed.
The unfortunate thing is that if Dovi does do good on the Ducati he'll not get much praise on here. They'll be slating Rossi instead.

Interesting that Hayden only gets to try Rossi's development chassis after the season ends and according to people on this site Rossi failed because Ducati did not give him new parts.

Nice PR work Dovi he's being paid a fortune to do so!
I wish him well. The previous team tried everything to sort out the chassis on that bike with no major inprovements. The biggest issue was always from the angle of the V in the engine which was never change. Expect Audi to be looking into that corner as well me thinks. A NEW engine stroke - bike to appear next year. Pity this did not happen whilst Rossi was on board. Some German engineering and Italian passion makes, this bike will get sorted.
