rossi for the first part of 2011 was on the EXACT same bike stoner was on in 2010 when he won 3 races and had 6 further podiums on..... and then rossi made the bike worse as the season progressed!!! or is there another explanation for the lack of podiums? you take stoners worst year on the ducati and it doesn't even compare with rossis best on it. stoner on a ducati was able to beat rossi when he was at yamaha, you are dreaming if you think this could happen the other way around. since stoner joined motogp they both have 2 titles, stoner with more wins. the facts speak for themselves.

We in South Africa never have a chance to see the top boys race, why don't they come to practice here at the very least, their winter is our summer... We are keen bikers an we need to keep the youngsters interested and the sponsors excited

The fact of the matter is Stoner won a measely two championships in his 13 year Grand Prix career. Hardly impressive considering he is THE Fastest rider the world has seen. Being THE Fastest, he should have won 13 championships in 13 years. On the other hand, Rossi the biggest fraud on two wheels have managed 9 championships and is still going despite his ageing fraudulent skill. Stoner THE Fastest only managed two championships, while Rossi the fraud has nine??? Doesnt sound right does it.

Nice to read m8, Motogp Fan is not a Motogp Fan is just a Stoner fan and we know Stoner fans never like to wach the Big Picture.. They only whant to talck about the good thinghs there rider did and even on the good thinghs they dont admited that 2007 Ducati was the best bike and 2011 Honda the same.. They dont even talck bad about Stoner in 2012 because he loss with the BEST Bike but you know since is Stoner was a Mistake it Happens..lolo I allready tell to this kids that Rossi can Loss in 2013 and 2014 that will not be a crime because what he allready achieve is enaught to put the riders of this generation with Fear of try to the same..lolo Anyway Rossi is still there and like i say before he will fight more because he is capable of that=)

@ Vilas,

Right. Becaue Rossi has never had the best bike, or the best tires, or the best crew, or the best suspension tech.......want me to continue?

The more you bag on Stoner about having the "best", it just makes Rossi look worse. You are doing him a disservice.

You really need to stop recycling the myth the 2007 Ducati was the best bike on the grid, because it wasn't. It's a fantasy tail you and the other sheep like to keep telling to make yourselves feel better.

Rossi was THE best from 2000-2007. There is absolutely no denying that, his records stand. Just because someone else doesn't have the prior achievements does not make them any less "skilled". That's somehting you cannot seem to wrap your head around.

@CRT:

Agree totally, The Ducati may of had a slight advantage in top speed but was certainly slower in he corners and it was Casey's skill that allowed the speed advantage count by getting out of the last corner better than anyone else.

@ there there now,

The funny thing is the Ducati has ALWAYS had a top speed advantage, ever since joining Moto GP. Hell, Capirossi held the top speed record from 2005 to 2009 on the Ducati, which was broken by Dani Pedrosa on the RC212V. The only time it ever comes up is the 2007 Ducati and Stoner.

The main problem with the Ducati was traction out of the corners. Casey found a way to do it. Instead of praising him for it he gets belittled. Go figure.

Its your opinian fella.. The 2007 Ducati was clearly the best bike of the year, massive advantages on Aceleration and top speed and eletronics, the engine was a bomb compared with any Japonese bike, also the Bridgstone tyres wehre very good that year, its my view i wached the races and wach how Stoner fail in 2008 and 2009 and 2010.. is not my imagination what happen was the Japonosed made setps on Power and electronics aids for 2008 and also Bridgstone become the only tyre manufactors and then No Casey or Ducati, they only where contenders im 2008 because the Japonose where chaching Ducati engine perform thats way Casey still have a good bike to fight im 2008 then after that was 4 place Standings and 2010 4 place standings with even less Wins and Podiums.. Ducati continued with the sht bike for 2011 and 2012 trying new solutions that fail to fix the crucial problems and now Audi Slap there faces asking help to Suter.. the Ducati 2007 was clearly the best bike has the 2011 Honda.
