Good performance 1st time out. Hope he is the next up and coming Moto GP star.
My only concern is that he gets his head in the right spot while racing. We don't need him or anyone else injured while he learns the ropes.

Everyone disagreed with my comment about MM not setting the world alight by not being able to be less than 1 second from the top, which is allright.
But I am somewhat surprised by this reaction: Did no one expect him to be doing these lap times? Did you think after so many years dominating the lower classes he would be scared to ride the 1000?
Of course he would be able to ride at that pace. for him to do a great start would be within a few tenths from Dani. Being a second from day one is a normal day at the office for a very talented guy which MM definetely is.

Marquez is fast, but it is his total lack of race etiquette that is going to be his problem!! There is no way he will be able to barge about and try to pull off the kind of dodgy moves he is known for as MotoGP has riders that will seriously not put up with it! I think Marquez will find himself in the dirt most of his first year until he can contro himself and ride with some respect for others on the track - either that or he will have a fat lip and broken nose!!!!

Also, word is if Casey hadn't packed in, it would have been Danny that got the heave to give Marquez a ride. Obvious now why Casey just had no choice!!!!

It is going to be a long hard 12 months......for the Crash.net fans. Stoner has retired and his name is still infiltrating every thread. There are some interesting developments to keep us watching, with new names and rider/bike changes etc. Can't we concentrate on that and post Casey's name on a fishing site?

MM will do well in motogp, but as for the fans and haters towards other riders saying he's going to smoke them , i dont think so, he has some other riders whom are already WChampions and have more skill and experience then him. you really think they wont go down without a fight when it comes to a rookie.
JLo, Pedrosa, Rossi, Bradl, Bautista, they wont be easy to beat, MM has only had a little taste of the bike. ovcourse he was going to get a good time out of it, but testing is totally differnt to actually racing out in the crowed,

and for all the ROssi haters focusing all their attention on him saying rossi will be craping himself and MM is going to own Rossi, is that your main focus, not that he might actually put up a good battle with the likes of the current WC JLo and the inform Pedrosa,

Bikenutter.........@Honda 2013...any chance that the guy holding the bars had anything to do with it?

You guys are hypocrites! When rossi won 9WC's it was because he was on the best bike!

HYPOCRITES Y'ALL!
