.4 of a second off of Rossi qualifying time after a hand full of laps and half of the Ducatis mechanics sitting in a garage at Aragon, lets get a bit real here if there had been 2 days of good weather Dovi would have trounced Rossis time.

@ Md Zane

Nobody but Dovi knows how hard he is pushing. For all we know, he is at that 99th percent which riders of his calibre are easily able to reach. It's that last percent, that final half a second, that takes forever to close. And, as we all know, you won't always get that from setup alone.

All the same, impressive stuff from Dovi. I just wouldn't be so foolish as to claim that given another day he could tame the Beast from Balogna. The last time someone was so confident, he ended up with crow for lunch.

@980
When Dovi got on the Yammy after the honda he was 1.8 seconds off pace on the first day so would you say that he was only riding at 80% on that bday.

I find it a pleasant suprise to see Dovi on the pace so quickly fantastic he can only get faster!! I was deeply disappionted with Melandri and the an unmentionable rider (avioding the hater tag) I never expect another stoner .Yet a caparossi bayliss and at one stage elias effort is Great I didn't mention Hayden Because to me while he is a good rider not quite on the standard to make alien Status never expect him to do anything other than a good job for his skills
Yet he is at least into having a go

Hope ducati Line up gets it together this year
Best of Luck Dovi

You guys are KIDDING YOURSELVES if you think Dovi is anywhere close to "the pace" of Pedrosa. Dovi's times do look good considering that the true front runners either didn't ride or were just cruising around the track. You will see where the Ducati - not necessarily Dovi or Hayden - falls next season.

Will be even tougher for Ducati next year. Rossi's 2 podiums last season have already been forgotten but with Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Rossi, Marquez, Bradl, Crutchlow, Bautista..the top 7 is already locked out next season. Smith is an unknows quantity but my point is any result in the top 7 will be a good result for Ducati regardless of whether Stoner or Rossi did better in the past

As I said a month ago:

Dovi will finish repeatedly in the top 6, and will get on the podium 3 times next year.
His style will have the demo going quick.
4th place!!

Hayden doesnt match the ducati. His style is not fluid. Another year 6th to 10th. 5 crashes.
8th place!!

Rossi will win 2 races next year, but mostly 3rd & 4th
3rd place!!
