Dovi can't exactly say that Valentino was right - the bike is a load of rubbish, what the hell have I done, now can he!!! He might be thinking it, but he can't say it out loud!!!!

@ redbull

Porsche 996 was just voicing his prediction. Something MANY of us on here do.

Don't hate just to hate. I reckon Dovi is going to surprise a LOT of people next year. Just like he did this year...

Someone said Dovi wasn't on the limit...He had +0.916 for the first outing...I wonder if Rossi was on the pace when he had +2 seconds in the qp with better circumstances...It' just good to the Duc fans if Dovi wasn't on the limit and He had +0.916 disadvantage,He just started to adapt to the Desmo and there will be a private test in Jerez 28-30 of Nov...Forza DOVI!!!

Dovi is probley the most determined rider on the Grid and one of the smartest.Pirro was also very good yesterday although he is only a test rider he will be making wildcard/stand in races. The thing with Ducati is nobody knows who is going to be There fastest rider yet and by the first test of 2013 they will have a all new version of the Desmo to test.

Good work first time on the bike in wet weather and faster than Rossi after 2 years:)
well atleast all the Rossi fanboys can say that Rossi developed the bike in case Dovi do well, even though they will go in a completley diff direction with new chassi and all, you'll see the fanboys will take the cred:)
Cheers Claes

i don't think rossi really took the ducati to it's limit dovi has just got to give 110% on that bike and he might just surprise some certain people

If there is one rider that I would like to see do well next season it is Dovi. It will be an uphill struggle for him if Ducati continue to mess about like they have done since 2007. Fancy turning up to this test with nothing new for Hayden to test, just recycled old stuff.

Now, in a single practice with 1h dry asphalt, people knows that Dovi was pushing 110%... Did he told you that or you're just guessing?
To keep your thinking line, I guess Dani was looking at the birds and waving at people. He did 1.30 in qually practice and in the test he did 1.32... Maybe he was just pushing 70.38%... Still was the fastest!

110% my @ss

For 1:

1) Pedrosa wasn't pushing yesterday...
2) The track got some rubber on it, when they came at valencia the surface was new
3) Rossi only rode the bike in valencia, not to crash, he did,kt push at all
4) The problems with the ducati only start when you push the bike to the limit, understeer and rear wheel slipping occurs only when tracktemperatures are up and griplevels increase (read warmer asphalt conditions)

So dovi will be 2 sec off pace in qatar... There is no miracle cure for the duke! Their is also no consistency in the bike setup... There is no base... Only when they test 3 days up front in misano and others had no practise due to rain, they could ride a podium... The bike is well off pace..

Dovi has a similar style as rossi... The only one up till today who could ride the damn thing was stoner.

Would love to see marquez on the duke...
