Andrea Dovizioso continued to rack up the mileage on the Ducati as he continues his transition to the Italian machine.

Dont underestimate Dovi. Hammered Crutchlow on his first season on the Yam (resultwise i mean) and he will be the first Ducati at 90% of next years races. Period.

@ Georgie

How do you know Pedro wasn't pushing? His time, for a patchy track was ctually quite a good one. Secondly, it was Dovi's first time on the duke, he also wasn't pushing. He would be stupid to do that. And they admitted he was just getting acquainted with it.

As for the surface, it wasn't new. It was the first time the MotoGP guys had been on the new surface, but it was resurfaced end of last year/beginning of this year.

I think the proof will be in the pudding. I can't wait to see a decent test on a dry track with all the teams at the same track.

Marquez on the Duc could be cool, but I would love to see Redding on it. Crutchlow would gel with it too I think.

Dovi is a very intelligent rider, and every career move he has made has turned out to be well-judged, even if it didn't seem so at the time.
He may not quite be 'alien' class but he will pick up some podiums this year, and will help to take the development of the bike in the right direction.
And above all, he will actually try.
I wish him well.

Dovi is a good rider, he just misses something to be "a bit better" and match the top guys.

Imo he misses the "moment of brilliance" that the "aliens" have. And that's something you have or not. You cannot learn it.

Great first ride on the Duc, it would be great if he can mix in the front pack.
