Another rossi v stoner fest on an unrelated thread.

To those that say stoner has done what he set out to do, true. Rossi set out to win championships...mission accomplished also. The number of times rossi states hes not the fastest but its not speed alone that wins championships?????

To those who say stoner is the best rider of the modern era, all commonly available literature, documentaries and autobiographies disagree. Also, rossi finished ahead of stoner 4 out of 7 years head to head in the standings????

To all the die hard stoner fans who cant let go (he has quit and left..no longer here), you have to sprout about test times first year on a motogp bike...for real, thats the bragging rights hes left you with???

Fast on track, and fast to leave the championship.
1st injury(only an ankle)and still sooking about it.
Finished on Sunday, and still saying WE when commenting about anything he is asked.
Never won back to back titles.
Never won 125 or 250 titles.
And the most damming thing about Stoner. Showed no respect to the championship that made him what he is.
Worst part is he's an Aussie, so we will have to read about his adventures from now on.

Hi
So is the definition of great rider how long you hang in there, like Colin and Capirossi and we will soon see Rossi, the Championship that made him do not exist anymore that's why he is leaving, regulated CPU really, Regulated this and that, it's not MotoGP its SBK GP, and no he did not win 125 and 250 in 250 he only had factory support 1 year came second, and he is probably a MotoGP rider as Max is a 250 rider, Sooking about his injury is probably because it is still there:)
You are just jealous that he is a better rider than your favorite
Cheers Claes

People in the know have done honor to Stoner by naming him a legend. Disagree as you like, but he IS a legend, WILL always be, and he deserves it..
for me, he sure has been a great pleasure to watch.. Pure talent, pure skill, pure speed.. And i don't care a hang about number of titles a rider wins.. I watch motogp to see the talent, the skill, the speed, not to count the number of gp titles.. i wish i had just 10% of his talent..
And i believe Stoner will be back..

This is poor reporting from Crash, we all know that Stoner is great, but if this tabulation of rookie times is intended to show talent then Rossi must be useless.... Wake up Guys... Even if Rossi appeared on this list, I still believe that there are too many variables to make any useful comparison in this way.

All the talk about Syoner going Rossi staying etc.I have said it before the reason rossi is not retiring is he is owned by a PR machine, and when they have got all they can out of him they will let him go.The reason he is going back to Yam for less money is simple for the last 2 yrs the PR machine would have lost millions, because they could not premote a mid pack rider but at Yam he should be back at the front so easier to premote you only have to look around the tracks (except Italy)and see how many yellow T shirts and caps not many that will give you an idea how much money they would have lost,I reckon rossi would love to retire and go car racing but he owes the PR Co. to much and will have to hang around for a while yet,and if he is not successful next year I doubt if he will be in GP in 2014 it all depends on 2013.

all this really mke me laugh, cmmon guys supper Stoner greatest, legend, test king etc. Now thet is really funny. Moaner on worst bike for sow mny yers, u know tht 2007 duc was fstest bike on the grid wtf rcv hond was the best bike in he cant win 2 in a row, owned by teammate what a f..k r u talking about blind Stoner fans. And if ur rgument is tht Stoner int win title this year about a injury, than i said Rossi in 2010, pedro in 2011, wont win their titles because of injuries. I'm surprised that CS fans r sow stupid, blind and with such a double standarts. And they try to find his greatnes in such a bull..it like test time comparision nd not a title wins, what is most important for every rider!
