MotoGP » Moto2: Redding concludes final test of season

'We managed to test quite a few things; some worked and some we'll need to reassess during pre-season testing next year, but it's been a positive two days overall' - Scott Redding

Competitve Kalex-KTM machinery and combined rider-weight limit for 2013 - now is the time for Redding to deliver. We've been hearing how his weight has disadvantaged him for the last 2 seasons, but that won't be a problem next year, so it's time to not only produce the wins but to push for a championship. Unless he can be a serious rival for Espargaro in the title race, his MotoGP aspirations might start to look a bit shaky. It's time for Scott to do some proving.

Think it's gonna be between these 4 riders for the Moto2 championship next year.
Espargaro
Redding
Luthi
and this will be a surprise package next year but I think Simon can challenge! Watch that space he's been flying on that Kalex in Albacete.

Next season could be his best chance.
Marquez has moved up.....and the combined weight limit has been introduced!
Coincidence or Dorna bias? I know what I think:-)

Competitve Kalex-KTM machinery... WTF?

Combined weight might help Scotty a bit but not so much as the limit will be 215 kg. Scott will still be over-weighted.

But I heard his team mate Kallio is so light that he has used extra weights on bike even during Qualifying as bike has been better to ride with that extra weight!

What a difference a bike makes.........eh? In 2011 Scott was on a Suter and he was nowhwere, certainly did't look top class material. In 2012 he moves to the Kalex and suddenly he's the dog's. WTF! Put him on a Tech 3 Moto2 bike and he wouldn't do any better than the hated Smith. Get over yourself.

Seriously, perhaps he is as good as you think. With minimum bike/rider weight he has the chance to prove it.
