MotoGP » Moto2: Redding concludes final test of season

'We managed to test quite a few things; some worked and some we'll need to reassess during pre-season testing next year, but it's been a positive two days overall' - Scott Redding

I think Bradley was picked for the Tech3 team because Ducati were expressing a real interest in Scott. As we all know, Ducati kicked Scott in the teeth at the last minute after having him do some testing for them, so Scott was left with nowhere to go. It's dog eat dog and a whole lot of behind the scenes palaver if you ask me!!

People praise Scott has if he is champions material and is leagues above Bradley, but as has been pointed out, Scott was nowhere last year on the Suter, and has only looked like running at the front consistently on the Kalex. Funnily enough his teammate Kallio's improvement in performance exactly mirrors Redding's. Nowhere on the Suter, then front runner on the Kalex. So the common denominator is the Bike. It's as if Redding fans completely ignore 2011, where Bradley kicked Redding's ass in his first year on the Tech3. Redding might be faster in terms of pure pace, but he is an inconsistent rider, while Bradley is a solid yet unspectacular rider

There is a reason Scott is rated so highly and not just those of us watching but people in the paddock too.
He is still the youngest winner of a race and yes that may have been a couple of years ago but he was on an Aprilia that was not the best (remember Aprilia's lovely grading system in terms of who got what 125...and the fact that if you didn't get a top bike you couldn't win in normal conditions?)....despite that, he still won in good conditions.
I still rate him higher than Bradders, no hate for Bradders just respect for Scott.

Fact is from what i have read, is that even if Marquez was racing next year he'd only have a 3kg weight penalty which imo still would not be fair.
I would have loved it if Scott was in GP next year, then i wouldn't have to be saying for yet another year....just wait until he's on a bike big and then you will see. As it is i am going to have to keep saying it AND i still believe it.
We need to stop slagging off our riders, especially the younger lads...whether it is Bradders, Scott, Gino or anyone else. In other countries they support their riders to the max...shame some of the numbnuts on here can't do the same.

@herewego "I think Bradley was picked for the Tech3 team because Ducati were expressing a real interest in Scott."

Well you're not very good at thinking then are you? Scott signed the deal with Tech3 for MotoGP in 2013 back in september 2011. That's way before Ducati showed any interest in Redding.

Furthermore I don't think Ducati's interest in Redding was that great in the first place. Remember quite a few people have linked with Ducati over the last few months.
