most comments here are delusional and influenced by short-term events.

Rossi probably will fight for the championship against Lorenzo and HRC,
he was riding a donkey Ducati in 2012, but he's NOT supposed to have lost his ability...

do you think he sufferend a brain injury or something?

do you think he forgot how to ride?, wtf

Most of these chumps don't know who Rossi is. Rossi is the guy who won everything in the past and present. winning 125cc/250/500 2-stk means you have talent not winning 800cc+tyre advantage rocket ship of Ducati and Honda. Talent is there, it's only matter of machine!!

Yeah sam... He won the 125, 250 etc..etc..tell me something new please.. i've read it a million times on crash.. keep saying that until you're blue in the face, and keep blaming the duc for his inability to win a single race on it..

3rd place in the Championship will be success enough, and if he gets to battle a few times, whether it's for the top step or the 3rd step, he'll be happy. This is one rider who enjoys a race (underline race).

Regardless, this guy is needed up the front. Notice, even his most vociferous critics (you know who you are) cannot stop themselves thinking about him, or commenting on him.

Multiple podiums with a sprinkling of wins for the class veteran & 7 time premiere class champion. I see him battling for 2nd in the points at the end. Anywhere in the top 3 will be a genuine success!

Haven't read all the comments so I'm probably repeating what someone has already said, but as it's uncertain how competitive the Yamaha will be against the ever improving factory Honda RCVs next season, I think success for Rossi will be the same goal as every other rider, which is to beat his team mate first of all - and that's going to be tough.

lamarck ,you cannot EVER say agostini was the greatest of all time.when many of his championships were on bikes with 2 or 4 times the cylinders and sometimes double the power of his rivals.
the fact he did get beaten by riders on far lesser machines shows he wasnt the best.put rossi, lorenzo, pedrosa, stoner, doohan etc ,etc on a bike with that horsepower advantage in todays class and the rest of the field wouldnt see which way they went,in EVERY race.

@ Sham

You forgot to mention 500cc 2-stk!! the same 125cc,250cc and 500cc that Stoner failed to win,not to mention when he wend backward :)) lol go figure. No lower class title, no talent. Hayden too won a title with HRC with only two wins lol, so Casey didn't do a miracle!!
