"F1 impressed with new US MotoGP venue"
Hilariously inverted title!

Reminds me of the newspaper headline that reputedly ran "Fog in The Channel - Continent cut off".

re: "Even your own F1 stars admit that motorcycle racers are the real heroes."

and in the next frame...

the F1 star is seen in the French Riviera checking his bank balance, chuckling to himself as he says "heroes schmeroes", then dialing the number of any 1 of 10 supermodels programmed into his phone.

re: "Great circuit layout planning. Being inspired by parts of some of the great circuits, and varying features, is what has built in contrast and a comprehensive layout."

re: "I thought the track looked terrific. I hope they do open it up for track days at something resembling a reasonable rate."

50,000 track rental
25,000 staff, emergency services, administrative costs
75,000 total

$75k/100 riders = $750 per rider. ta da...! there's your rate and it's perfectly "reasonable". such is the beauty of math.

ps, don't confuse the term reasonable with "free lunch". do that and you'll be riding the rest of your days at MSR or eagles wonder where everybody is...?

Any motorcycling is a minority sport. Plenty of reasons why. Would hardly say riders are heroes. It seems that any dip**** can throw a leg over a bike. Then fire himself at the first bit of scenery. With varying consequences. Not quite what makes a hero. There may be 1 or 2 heroes at the top of GP, but that's all. Be surprised if some of them even filled out their passport forms themselves.
