Good decision by Shakey, I believe. If I had to choose between staying at home and touring the country fighting for wins or fly all around the world in a massively inconvenient and at times tortuous schedule languishing at the back of the pack, I'd take the former without even blinking. He can travel and see those places whenever he pleases after he retires.

re: "after some careful consideration, I thought that the option of staying with my championship winning team on a great bike in BSB was too strong a temptation to resist"

shakey put on a good show, but was there ever any doubt...? the man knows wobblin' when he sees it.

I wish ellison all the best in 2013 I hope he returns to a good team . He deserves to be treated with more respect both by teams and the media who are always quick to prefix his name with the word sacked or dumped . No other rider gets this crap thrown at him
