MotoGP » 'Honda is fair with its rivals, unlike Ferrari'

“At F1, Ferrari has absolute authority. To be honest, we suffered a lot in that period. In MotoGP, Honda is in a similarly strong position but we like to be fair with our rivals” - Shuhei Nakamoto.

Yes indeed, I would very much like a rider who says: "Fix this, and I will do the rest". I would like even better the one who says: "Just give me the damn thing, sit back and watch me ride the bejesus off it to a first place finish" and goes out and does it each time so blindingly fast that you need to see it 27 times to believe it!

@ Busa boy
Just because they didn't win a WC doesn't mean they weren't doing their damndest to gain every advantage they could get now does it? In any case they certainly enjoyed massive success during that period.
Without 2007 though it has been all Yam & Honda - by far the biggest and most powerful factories in the game.
Note instead the relative lack of success for both marques in WSBK - what does that say about their technical prowess? Or perhaps its their relative lack of political influence in WSBK compared to MotoGP?
People make lots of Ducati's past 'unfair' position in WSBK - yet no-ne seems to have as much to say about the situation in MotoGP!

We have diferent understandings!! You are saying that the CBR 1000 rr 4 exemple is a bad road bike compared with BMW 4 exemple? it can be because they both use diferente materials and because Bmw have more elctronics and is more Powerfull but Honda is not a bad bike infact sometimes can make better laps then bikes that you would say OHH is not possible 4 exemple the MV Agusta rr Corsa corta its incredible chiq bike have a lot of expensice materials but on one review you allways wach the reporters saying 4sure it was the bike that i whant to haveat home but is not really the bike with the best feelings.lolo and have Brembo brakes ohlins Suspensions marchesini material, fancy exusts etcc and dont make a better lap and sometimes even broke faster then one Simple Honda that is build with humble materials that just whant to generate a cheap product but at the end is a reasonable Product that if you whant like you whach from competicion you can tune to a very good race model..

@ Vilas "all manufactrs dont what the same ECU Honda Yamaha and Ducati because this would make they loss there advantage him terms of engine basacly alowing CRTS to become a serious problem"

My point exactly Vilas (but you still don't get it). The mfr's DON'T WANT more competition. The fans and the racers and Dorna DO WANT more (fair) competition as they know its sorely needed. Where is the glory in winning if there's no real competition to beat? And who wants to race knowing they don't have a prayer?

This is why I say again - Mfr's should have no direct involvement in racing, as what they want is NOT in the best interests of the sport.

the point m8 is that is not fair because if someone can build better he deserve to prove that after all they put is name right there like Honda do!! why they would let pass there creations like the RCV beeing mach by road engines tuned models?? the solution that they found all manufacters is much better then what dorna was planning.. i understand your point that you whant close racing but i also understand manufcters point that whant to keep there advantages there where develping for years and dont whant to stop because dont make any sence!! The best have to win not beeing limited like you whant to creat more show.. like i say before the problem is not from Honda the problem is from the lack of manufacters and also because some manufacters try for year but can t build one bike better then Honda it happens for year thats why Suzuki and kawasaki where the first to leave competicion.. 4now only Yamaha can stand agains Honda and Ducati have is good momente when R

Talent fan.
That could apply to any manufacturer. All teams want to gain every advantage they can, that goes without saying. But the simple fact is,Yamaha have won 4 of the last 6 World Championships. So things are certainly not going in Hondas favour.Stats dont lie.

Vilas - Honda have produced lots of homologation specials stuffed with expensive materials to boost the sales of the base models by winning production and SBK races. It was funny when the very much cheaper GPz900R trashed their homolgation special CBR1100R the year it came out. The cost of modifying a stock Honda to SBK levels is much greater compared to other manufacturers because, as I said before, they have a habit of making everything only just good enough for the average rider in average road conditions. I don't expect to have brake fade on a supposed sports bike like the Fireblade, and I didn't on the contemporary Yamaha and Kawasaki competition.

Rules change and generate diferente problmes that make then loss.. Also like one m8 post here Honda only win 2 titles since 2007 that was 2011 and the manufactrs of 2012... if the others worck betteer they also win but they have to prove there tech
