Having been thrashed by his peers and his bike in the last two years, he should make a switch to car racing instead of staking his reputation on the M1. At least if he got thrashed again he can say that four wheel racing is not his game.

I couldn't see Casey being content wiping the floor with a bunch of old codgers, but if that's what floats the Italians boat, good for him.

He should've gone to WRC already two years ago. He could have started his second career. Nothing to prove in MotoGP and he just tarnished his legacy by two miserable Ducati years.

Not surprised to see Rossi getting in as much practice in on 4 wheels as possible. His 2 wheel career is all but over.

@slide rules! Obviousely you didn't read much up on about it. Rossi beat Loeb and McRea (in 2005) both are not considered oldtimers at their game...
Sure the Monza rally show is not a WRC event in any way. I doesnt resemble a real rally at all...but you can argue dat non of the drivers compete in anything that is similar, so that levels the playing field.
Rossi would not beat Loeb in a rally in normal circumstances, and neither would Loeb beat Rossi on a MotoGP bike. But when things are equal (like at the Monza event) Rossi comes on top pretty often...
