MotoGP » Bryan Staring gets Gresini MotoGP ride


Australia will continue to have a full time MotoGP rider in 2013 after the surprise news that Bryan Staring will race the Gresini CRT bike.

Don't think many were expecting this. Maybe he's not the most deserving for this ride, but still better than Kiyonari, who was another candidate. He was right to leave Pedercini.

dificult cal to make i did not think he would get better chances in worldsuperbike staying in stk1000 and he defently deserves better but the CRT is stil to prove its falleu in terms of a future better then crt because the current crt riders did not improve on their ride at all antway i hope the best for the lad

Dorna supported im sure, but with Kiyo wrapping up 600 Asia title unexpectedly, perhaps Honda feel Moto 2 with the asia team is better for him now... And GP now has Aoyama in Avintia CRT for Jap interest. I do feel if there was a decent young rider in Moto 2 (and no, not Ant West...) then they would have been a better Aussie to put on the bike. But if none available then thats just how it is, I hope the lad does well ! :P
