"would have been 8th on the grid....a lot of people on here were hammering jonathan rea for his lap times but didn't he have the same position when he first rode stoner's bike?"

He was 9th in Qualifying but 1.1 seconds slower than Bautista. Then 8th in the race. Comparing Marquez' time to the times done during the race weekend isn't very helpful - different conditions.

Also, Rea already had lots of experience with heavier bikes.

Marquez will be a motogp world champion no doubt about! He is a fighter and has the aggression to make the passes, starting 8th on the grid is nothing for this lad he will work his way to the front within a few laps, though that is not really worth talking about 'coz come race day next year Marc will have that Honda on the second row at the least. Forget about any other rider riding a bike other than a factory yamaha or Honda ever being world champion next year or 2014.

dani has not won a championship until now because of injuries and bad luck

he could have won in 2008 if not for injury and i think he will be the man to beat in 2013.
bike is not everything many others have rode m1 and rcv but look at their records

MM has been exciting, a different level in Moto2 to the rest, but fan support is no guarantee of success, although definitely helps. I would like the impossible, but dreaming and reality are in two different camps. As far as I am concerned being a true racer that adds colour to the sport, MM has my thumbs up. World champion in a few years no doubt.

relax all / you dont have to be a quick lap mister to will a race ,marc has shown that but he needs to know how to conserve the 1000 to finish the race like he has done in the past with the 600. regardless how much off or on the pace he is, when he does get onto the front row he will spend the next season learning how to nurse the beast to the finish line, thats were other men before him have missed out on the podium these dudes are all level racing is hard enough to be consistant over 10 laps cant imagine 25+ laps
