@TalentFan

Respectfully disagree. Moving the traps up the straight would highlight accleration, which is not the true reflection of motor capability. Too much rider input is involved, the "X" factor, if you will. Perhaps MM's talent allows him to hook it up better on exit, therefore out acclerating his opponents early down the straight?

The traps are placed so that they measure top speed, which is a better indicator of motor. Wheels are straight, riders tucked in, throttle pinned - no special talent needed here. In this scenario, MM's bike is proven to be very average.

I agree, he has blown by other riders down the straight quite frequently, but the data shows that his bike is not "faster". He is simply accelerating quicker, which, as mentioned, is not all motor.

Bad form to point the finger at people and then claim that is the reason why the results have not come.

i think it was a mistake to sign this petulant child 2 years ago and that will be borne out in his results next year.

i saw him crash at Donny and completely ignore his fans while he waited for a lift, then Webby crashed at the same corner and couldnt do enough for his fans.

Bradders can do 1 or 2 fast laps but lacks consistency and hes always been the same

hes an also ran before he starts!

Smith was bending the rules just like everyone else but he and his team just weren't good enough.Now he's just put pressure on himself to be up there on the sharp end what a idiot.He's going to get some stick now when he doesn't perform.

@wylie,

We all get that you have followed the sport for decades (you generally enter by stating that...as if it gives you credibility) but while you argue the line is not crossed if there is no charge, I would say that simply means you havent been caught.

pushing the boundaries is what GP is all about (otherwise how do we invent stuff???) and when one manufacturer gets too much of an advantage as a result, the rules will be changed (again).

Love Bradley Smith , seems like a Great guy, I think he can do well with a tiny bit of assistance from Cal.

Speaking of cheating, I also feel Marquez had a bit of extra help, how much exactly i have no clue.. but the way he sliced through the pack reminded me of this other mystical man. CANCELLARA. check out this youtube video for a good laugh.. start watching at 3:30 just copy and paste this in as I cannot post a link due to spam issues " Bike with engine (doped bike) and Cancellara (Roubaix - Vlaanderen)"

I love Crash titled the article of an 'English' rider accusing others of cheating as simply 'Q&A'. If this was Rossi, Spies, Stoner etc. there would be some inflammatory title splashed all over. *rolls eyes*

Why do we have so many stories on this rider.

Didn't win a single race in 2012.

Won't win or podium in 2013.

Let's wait until he wins a race before we have another story from BS38.

Give the other riders some coverage.

Finding loopholes is what a crew chief does. Its absolutely not cheating. Having the resources to take advantage of those discoveries is also not cheating. Its the difference between a well funded team and a tightwad like Herve. Marquez has superior corner speed, which translates to an advantage in acceleration. The kid is just much better than Bradley. If i were Bradley, i would try to figure out quickly how im going to find the speed to keep my job. Herve didnt want him after his lackluster year in Moto2, but was bound by a stupid contract of his own making. Im guessing his stay in GP will be short

the mm bike is special it accelerates from standing start compared to other is amazing even given the less weight that is fact. Its probably better parts for sure whether illegal who knows outside of the team but I raced at club level and any advantage is always sort out goes without saying.
