He'll be wishing he hadn't stuck his neck out and said "I can tame the Duc".
OR-
He strained it shaking his head after his first ride on the Duc.
OR-
He cricked it from looking behind so often to see who was catching him.
OR-
He over-stretched it looking over the screen to see where the front-end grip had gone.

re: "Instead Dovizioso returned to the pits after just two laps on Wednesday, due to the neck issue - currently being described as a muscle strain - and was unable to ride thereafter."

i'm gonna go out on a limb and say the answer is D. none of the above. it's a pinched nerve. the spot is down lower in his back with the pain merely showing itself up in the neck area. the nerves running along the spine are tricky like that and yes, it feels like a crazy case of muscle strain that comes outta nowhere (ask me how i know). dovi see a chiro and you'll be all set.

Dovi was never good on factory bike. Sometimes impresive results on satelite and when he get in "factory" it seems like all his dreams come treue and no need to explore full potential of factory ride. Watch out Dovi, after Ducati dont think another big team will be interested in you. His biggest mistake was when he didn't used full potential on Repsol rocket.
I don't think that he is the smartest choice for Ducati.
Sorry for bad Eng

what did Vale say... something about he knew from the first couple laps on the duc in pre-season testing that it was a pig.

looks like Dovi got those couple laps under his belt, pulled in and walked away.

i, for one, would not be surprised if he negotiated his way out of contract before the testing ban ends.

that's what I was about to say, how many laps does it take to know that a bike sucks?

no wait, the Ducatis' handling is really, really really good, just not quite good enough to run with the Hondas and Yamahas LOL if only by a tenth per lap...that's it, nothing else, really...

“It's something I had experienced at the GP in Malaysia, where I crashed twice, and in Australia, where I crashed once, and both times I had physiotherapy treatments and anti-inflammatory medicine," said Dovizioso, fourth overall with six podiums this season.

are they reading? or just have mouths?
