Out of the seasoned riders, the obvious 3, CS, DP and of course JL.

Cal and Bradl after those 3.

Rossi and Spies also need a mention for being at the opposite end of the scale.

It's hard to rate the CRT riders (beyond the Aspar team that was consistently the fastest) as I have no idea how well they did - and that is after watching every race!

It'd be the same with a regular 22 bike grid, there are always teams at the sharp end and teams at the back, see f1, wsbk etc the only reason it gets noticed and people moan is dorna stupidly treat them differently (CRT champion !?!?!)

"Rossi and Spies also need a mention for being at the opposite end of the scale."

Spies 10th on 88 points sat on a bike that won the championship. Rossi 6th on almost double that (163), sat on a heap of shlte!

What's the weather like on your planet?

Most impressed with Bradl, would like to see him & Marquez on equal factory status.
I like Spies and had high hopes for his Moto GP career, but he's lucky to be riding in any championship after that seaason
Ultimately though you can't take it away from Lorenzo, champion and almost a perfect season (as in finishing every race)...and I'm not a fan of 99.

Yorgi first half Dani second half,Casey troubled.
Dovi fast then signed for Ducati then slowed?
Alvaros gonna slip under the radar on this one.
Rossi didn't push and took all the boring points available.
Cal hyper fast hung is balls out all year and paid by crashing.
Bradl impresive in some races, good rookie season, will Marquez be any better.
Nicky prepared to push but paid for it.
RdP and Aleix on the best crt but were the best.
Jimmy Ellison for shutting a lot of people up.

It's hard to be any more impressed with a rider like Jorge, as he's clearly the most consistent rider in the class. Discounting this, I'd say Dani had the greatest season of his premiere class career, followed closely by Dovi. Amazing how many times #4 put the satellite M1 on the box, when in recent years it's been a rarity. Espargaro def impressed & I'd like to see him on a prototype in '14.

Jorge, Dani and Casey were in a league of their own.

Vale clearly had no trust in his machine, so although he was there in name he may as well have been absent.

Spies was the number 1 disappointment.

Dovi and Cal both get an honourable mention.
