Nicky and then Stoner. JL, DP, and Stoner! Arent they suppossed to win? Don't they have the best bikes, the best engines, the best pits, the most money, the most engineering support? This would have been a Stoner championship season without the injury. Nicky gets my vote for giving it his all every single race on a far inferior piece of equipment and yet Rossi climbs aboard the Ducati and his real riding skills show up. He really did no better than Nicky and he has multiple championships. Well when he is on the best bike that is! Stoner beats Rossi and the others in heads up racing with dominating performances. If not Nicky, then Stoner.

I've just read over all the comments and you guys realise its vote for your rider of the year, not the last seven??? Always the same story in these forums hahaha.
Gotta say j-lo (10) for me consistent over the whole year
Dani (9) great year started off a little quiet but wow.
Dovi (8) another big improver hope the Ducati thing works out, he seemed to fit that Yamaha nicely.
Bradl (7) great rookie year.
Stoner (7) I'm a big fan but lets face it he had moments of greatness and moments that weren't. I'm not an ifs and buts person so I'll leave it at that.
Cal (7) big improvement this year just needs to stay on a bit more.
Bautista (6) started looking better later in the year, lucky not to deduct any more points for that incident haha.
Rdp and aleix (8 a piece) the only two who stood out in the CRT world
All the rest got from 5 to 3.

@ Namsag

So Rossi didn't do any better than Hayden? Really? The championship standings say otherwise, but don't let that get in your way.

@ Hemmy "@ Bob, sorry but if you dont know how to try and compare two riders fairly, then theres really no point in commenting."

Fairly comparing riders is by facts rather than emotions. The facts speak for themselves.

Gotta go with the Google dude, JL, DP, and CS were in their own class with visits from Cal, Dovi, and even a lil Rossi and Bradl too!

JL had a very successful and thought out championship!
DP started off slow, but had guns blazing towards the end!
CS, love him or hate him, he rides the #hit out of the Honda! He'll be missed, but here's hoping that 2013 will be full of closer races!

I am not a Pedrosa fan but he definitely impressed this year and deserved to win the title. The points system should be abolished and the title should go to the winner of the greatest number of races. This year that is Pedrosa.

@Bob, 'Fairly comparing riders is by facts rather than emotions. The facts speak for themselves.'

Thats correct. but trying to compare two riders by using seasons when one guy was not even present, is simply using emotions to try make your man look better that what the head to head stats and facts clearly show.

And those facts and stats show that stoner has done better than Rossi. He has leveled him on titles with 2 each, and has beaten him on every single meaningful stat.

But dont take my word for it, go take a look for yourself.

And to the guy who said that Vettel is not a better driver than Schumacher because he has less titles.....oh dear. That comment is just as ridiculous as some of the Rossi V Stoner comments, if not worse.
