Mauno Hermunen and Andrea Dovizioso were on form from the very start, with the Finnish rider doing a good job to make life easy for his Italian counterpart.

"Mauno was really fast, and he gave me the bike for the last stint with a five second lead - Dovizioso recalled - Then I just tried tried to protect our advantage, but some traffic from lapped riders made things close in the end."

he didnt exactly do much....he was riding alone for the whole race.....with a 5 sec lead

Anybody that knows Supermoto will know that Dovi's result is not too shabby, nor that of VR. The runner up pair of Matt W and Iddo were/are amongst the worlds best S/Moto riders, although had it not been for Mauno Hermanun, the Brits would have won.

Good to see multi discipline skills though.
